Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Draftsman (Civil): Two years Draftsman Training Course Certificate/Diploma from any Government recognized Institute.
- Works Supervisor: Matriculation pass (or equivalent) plus an ITI Certificate in Building Construction or Carpentry Trade, issued by JKBOTE or the Director General of Training, Government of India.

Domicile
Candidates must be domicile holders of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate on or before the cut-off date (30 August 2026).

Fee is payable only via online mode — Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other exam.
How Selection Works
Selection for both Draftsman and Works Supervisor posts will be made purely on the basis of merit obtained in the Written/OMR examination. The exam will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions set in English only, with negative marking of one-fourth mark for every wrong answer. The date and centre of examination will be notified separately on the official JKSSB website.
Documents You’ll Need
At the time of Document Verification, candidates must carry:
- Original Domicile Certificate
- Original Qualification Certificates
- Category Certificate (if applicable, in the prescribed format)
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs
- A valid original Photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Driving Licence, Passport, etc.)
Important Instructions to Keep in Mind
- Apply well before the last date — don’t wait till 30 August, as the portal often sees heavy traffic near the deadline.
- Name, date of birth, and parents’ names must match exactly with your Matriculation certificate.
- No corrections are allowed once the application is submitted, so double-check every field.
- Only one application is allowed per item number — multiple applications for the same post will lead to cancellation.
- PwBD candidates who need a scribe or compensatory time must submit the required certificates (Annexure-B and Annexure-C) as per the notification.
