How Selection Works
Selection for all posts under this notification will be made purely on the basis of merit obtained in the Written/OMR examination — Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions, set in English only, with negative marking of one-fourth mark for every wrong answer. The date and centre of examination will be announced separately on the official JKSSB website.
Special Note for Agriculture & Lab Assistant Posts
- Senior Canning Attendant & Horticulture Technician Grade-IV (Item 104–116): Training certificates must be issued by a recognized Central/State/UT institution, statutory university, UGC-recognized institution, or an ICAR-affiliated body.
- Junior Laboratory Assistant (Item 179–180): Preference goes to candidates with a Post Graduate Diploma in a Professional Lab Course in Chemistry or other Science, in case of equal merit.

Important Instructions to Keep in Mind
- Apply well before 09 October — the portal often slows down close to the deadline.
- Name, date of birth, and parents’ names must exactly match your Matriculation certificate.
- No corrections are allowed after submission, so review every field carefully.
- Only one application is allowed per item number; duplicate applications will lead to cancellation.
- PwBD candidates needing a scribe or compensatory time must submit Annexure-B and Annexure-C as prescribed.
